The Skin Cancer Foundation’s early detection campaign is called The Big See, which, of course, sounds like “the big C,” cancer. Because skin cancer starts in the skin and grows so that it is visible, the campaign encourages everyone to examine their skin regularly and look for anything “new, changing or unusual” and get it checked out.
Our public service ad, educational materials and screening program have spurred people to action. But we still have work to do, as skin cancer incidence continues to increase.
Because there is a big disparity between the genders in this field, we created this guide to nudge all you guys out there! Written in a friendly style, the brochure shows the latest statistics and provides motivation and helpful advice.
The brochure also includes a link to learn more about how to do a DIY skin exam and QR code to learn more about The Big See Campaign at TheBigSee.org..
